Unaired episode

This episode was originally scheduled to be the 2nd episode after the Pilot and would pick-up after Will's father has escaped the Supermax prison, as seen at the end of the Pilot/'Second Chances.

However, after Glen Morgan left the show in early September and Jason katims joined the production team, and the direction of the show was re-eavluated, 'Birds' was discarded and most of the shot footage thrown out, and what was left was put into 'Paradise Lost', which became the official second episode.

The below was taken was various sides released for the casting of 'Birds' and gives an insight to the plot for the episode as it establishes Will's father's return to his 'followers' and his attempt to kidnap/rescue an injured Will from the Berkut Group.

Episode #102 - 'Birds'

New characters in this episode include: Shawna, Tatum, Atkinson and Jessica. Anthros has a lieutenant called Blanda. Anton - work at Wolf Creek, he appears to work with jae, may be another security officer [?].

Will's father arrives at something called "the Andros compound" which is described as a secluded and abandoned juvenile delinquent camp, framed by woods. Dr Anthony Andros gets out, sporting several days growth and wearing hastily brought Army clothing. A group of adults who are working at the camp stop and gaze in awe. Andros tosses his orange prison jump suit into a can where they are burning leaves.

The back of the jump suit has BLACKWELL SUPER-MAX PRISON stencilled on it.

Andros says to the group " You did good everybody, its just what I asked for. From outside they'll never suspect we're in here changing human life...."

Atkinson appears to be the 'power' / leader of the group.

Behind a fortified metall door within the main house is a room filled with weapons: AK-47 assault rifles, Beneli Nova 12 gauge pump shotguns, Smith & Wesson 45 calibre pistols, thousands of rounds, explosive, detonators.

Atkinson says "I almost feel bad for Jonas"

Will appears to still be recovering from being shot in the Pilot [unless he is injured earlier in the episode?] as it mentions he is transfered out Northwestern I.C.U. to Wolf Creek [a Berkut facility, described as a Biotechnology Facility and is the same one seen in the Pilot]. It appears Anthony is looking to 'kidnap' Will, but because of the move, and the extra security at Wolf Creek, Atkinson says they will have to wait. Tatum tries to impress Andros and says "Another window has opened, wider. A move on Wolf Creek now could get us two birds with one stone" This refers to Jaime and the group are trying to get her before "she knows what she can really do" "Once she's aware, it's be hard to pull her in, let alone turn her"

There appears to be a power struggle between Atkinson and Tatum. Atkinson is against trying to get Jaime, and talks Andros round to waiting but secretly Tatum has not abndoned the idea just yet...

Becca is in the episdoe and Jaime is trying to talk her to going back to Iowa. Not for good, "only while... I'm away".

Becca no longer appears to be deaf and has dialogue in the script.

Jaime and Becca arrive at the family home in Iowa is "a small, single level, bland dwelling" The lawn needs cutting. No-one is home. Jaime rang ahead to let their Dad know they were coming - Becca reacts as if she expected this. Becca goes inside, leaving jaime on the porch and a waiting taxi.

Tatum and his men make an assault on Wolf Creek to capture Will. Jonas, Jae and Ruth are at the facility during the raid. Jaime arrives back at the facility from Iowa, at the same time as the fcaility is breached.

Wil is successfully taken during the raid and next morning is at his father's compound, on life support, following addtional injuries/trauma sustained during the raid.

Anros banishes Tatum from the compund, following the injuries susatined to his son. He tells Tatum "Your kind of human life ... is why what we're doing here... must succeed" Tatum and his men are to be"...gone within the hour... or I will experiment on you... in the same manner that got me sent to prison..."

Tatum and his men decide the only way they will get back into Andros' good books is by capturing a Bionic Woman: Jaime Sommers.Tatum says "Sarah Corvus is damaged goods"

Jonas, Jae, Ruth and Jaime plan to find Will, however Jonas thinks Jaime isn't ready for the field "She lacks... basic... tactical training, let alone any special operations skills"

Jaime can store information or data in her head, source unknown, however Jonas appears to be able to erase of take this information away without Jaime even knowing. She had some information in her head about the raid and the explosives/tactics Tatum used, but suddenly finds it gone.

Tatum refers to something called a Bionic Global Positioning System in order to locate Jaime - she must have something insdie her which can track/locate her movements at all times.

Tatum tracks down Jaime to a roadside flow and fruit stand but has the tables turned on him when jaime appears and confronts him about the whereabouts of Will. She is holding a half dozen roses and askes Tatum if he likes roses because if he doesn't tell her where Will is "You are gonna have one sticking out of every hole and there ain't nothing you can do about it beacuse you are going to get your ass kick by a girl"
