Spoilers & Speculation

WARNING - THIS PAGE CONTAINS PLOT AND CHARACTER REVEALS. PLEASE READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION!

All the details in this, and the following pages, has been drawn from intial script casting pages and may be subject to change - we will updated/amend as further information becomes available [see text in brackets]. However, alot of what is contained 'feels' fairly accurate when looked at as a whole. Individual scenes and or lines of dialgoue may change or be exlcuded from the final aired Pilot.

The pages are divided into character information/background [here], full-on plot reveals and speculation around this [here], and lastly bionic technical info for the new show [here]. Again, all 3 pages contain some major plot info/spoilers!

Character info/background

Jaime Sommers
Jamie is 24 years old

She drives a circa 1974 Ford Pinto hatchback [not sure this is the case from the newly released clips]

One of her Rebecca's neighbours is an older eastern European woman, early 60's, Mrs Arakelian, who works as a nurse [in the hospital opposite Jaime's Starbucks?]. Mrs Arakelian sometimes baby-sits/makes supper for Becca if Jaime is out or working late.

Jaime works in a Starbucks cafe, alongside Maggie [It has since been revealed Jaime works in a bar, however she may, or may not, have a friend called Maggie].

Jaime's parents were flying out to see her at an Honors awards dinner. Jaime had specifically asked them to come and feels responsible for what subsequently happened. Jaime dropped out of school and gave up a degree in Shakesperean lit. to take on looking after her younger sister.

Jaime has been going out with Will for 2 months, they met when Will started coming into Starbucks for his caffeine 'fix' every day [Again not sure how they met as the Starbucks has been replaced by a bar.]

Jaime has trust issues: "…I'm not good at relying on People. They tend to let you down" - this demonstrates a strong independence likely from guilt over the loss of her parents and the responsibility of looking after Rebecca and feeling she has let her down.

Jamie says that Rebeccaa's attitude and behaviours are rooted in the fact that Jaime asked her parents to fly out to see her and never came back - she blames Jaime. At the time of their deaths Rebecca was still living at home with her parents, whilst Jaime was away at college. Due to this Jamie feels a responsibility to look after her sister. [This may be in part due to 'Becca blaming Jaime fr being left alone and the loss of her parents, however we now know 'Becca is also deaf/partially deaf and this could also be a contributing factor to her behavour]

Rebecca Sommers
Please note this role is currently being re-cast and Rebecca may no longer be deaf - late June 2007

Becca is 15

Her middle name is Amanda

'Becca is deaf/partiall deaf [revealed in 2 clips which show intercation between Jaime and her younger sister]

She has just got a third tattoo, which Jaime is NOT pleased about. When asked where it is, Rebecca replies "Don't worry. You'll never see it" [In one of the clips, this fact is confirmed, but 'Becca doesn't TELL Jaime about the third tattoo, she SIGNS it]

Often catch a ride to school with a friend named Jason - much to Jaime's annoyance.

Will Masters
Will asks Jaime if she & Becca will move in with him, but Jaime is reluctant and says she doesn't need to be 'taken care of' [Jamie's independence issues again] Will insist he just wants to 'help'

At the start of the Pilot Will is taking a fellowship in Paris and asks Jaime to go with him [NEW].

Will's father is Magnus Masters, who started the Bionics programme and is currently locked up in a federal supermax prison at the start of the Pilot [NEW].

Will works in the hospital across the road from the Starbucks where Jaime works - they met at Starbucks when Will would come in for his coffee [Again, Starbucks has been replaced by a bar, so where Will works in relation to Jaime may now change]

Jonas Bledsoe
Bledsoe lies "like other people breathe"

Jonas, whilst the obvious "leader", he defers to the judgement and advice of his head of intel and logistics, Ruth Treadwell. During Jaime's initial escape from the lab/compound, Jonas, Jae and various soldiers are out trying to re-capture Jaime. Will tries to get Jonas to back off and let jaime go, but it is not until Ruth interjects that it might be an idea to give Jaime "the illusion of freedom" that he calls off his troops [Some of this appears to be confirmed in the preview clips, certainly that Jonas listens and relies on Treadwell]

Jae Kim
Jae and Sarah had a relationship before/after she under went Bionic procedures and something happened afterwards which now means he distrusts Jaime. Jae says "Sarah despises what she used to be. Hates the humanity she had… the part of her that loved me. Especially that"

Jae has an open dislike of Jaime, coloured by what happened to Sarah: "Sarah wasn't Sarah after the surgery. She changed". When Jaime confronts him in an alley as to why he is following her he says:"Jonas says watch, I watch. And someday if he says kill you, I'll do that too. Because you know what, Sommers? You're ticking bomb."

A flashback reveals Jae has been at Jonas' side for several years - the flashback is in the aftermath of Sarah's escape and reveals the death and destruction left in her wake.

The flashback at the start of the Pilot sees an enraged and feral Corvus covered in blood. Jae and a squadron of troops face Sarah down. Sarah asks Jae to tell her he loves her, before he leaping at towards him, at which point he shoots her [NEW].

Jae is suppossed to have buried to 'dead' Sarah Corvus and the goverment are shocked when she re-appears... what did Jae do with the body of this lover [NEW]?

Sarah Corvus
Sarah has the ability to create sound waves/frequencies, amoungst other things. At one point in the story she adapts her hands to burn out a chip in Jaime's forehead by holding Jaime's temples [seems alittle far-fetched now and nothing about this is mentioned in any reviews to date].

Jae admits to Jaime that if Sarah has a weakness it is how sure she is that humanity is "something disgusting. Repulsive. Weak"

Sarah is driving the truck which crashes into Will's car causing the accident which ends up seeing Jaime made Bionic [NEW]

Sarah has had both arms, both legs and one eye replaced… Sarah appears to have replaced the other one herself! She has also replaced part of her chest - in line with what the Jae Lee said Sarah is slowly replacing her remaining 'human' parts… "all the parts of me that are weak"

You can tell Sarah is a baddie: she smokes! However, she declares the nanocytes in 'our' blood [talking to Jaime] can filter out any impurities - this, along with her and Jaime's improved healing factor, is another trait they share with the X-Men character Wolverine, who is renowned for smoking cigars and quotes the same thing.

It feels like Sarah sees Jaime as a kindred spirit, or someone she can 'save'. She says she wants to set Jaime free, free from her her remaining humanity.
