Molly Price gets her 'Faith'
back on FX
UK fans can catch-up with Molly Price in
Season 5 of Third Watch, now running on
the UK FX channle, Monday to Friday at 5pm and
repeated across the weekends. Mollie plays series
fave Faith Yokis, mother, wife and cop in the
popular police drama set in New York. Back last
year, FX aired series 4, then went back and showed
series 1 through 3. If ya wanna check out what
happened to faith in the series finale face-off,
now is your chance. We haven;t seen series 5 before,
but it appears to get mixed reactions for fans,
some saying the last two season [5 & 6] are
great, other saying the series went downhill from
from 4 onwards and series 6 was just dire. Check
it out and make up your own mind! The UK FX web
site is here...
Germans get Season 2 Bionic
Woman release
The original Bionic Woman, with Lindsay
Wagner looks set to get the second season released
on DVD in Germany, following the first season's
release in March. The set is available to pre-order
from Amazon.de,
priced around 45 euros. Fans so far have taken
issue with the cover [see below] which has a picture
of Lindsay on it from Scruples, a mini
series she made which has nothing to do with the
Bionic show at all! The art may change, and as
yet we don't know what extras will be on there,
but there is already excited talk of Season 3
being released, which will be the first release
anywhere on DVD for the 3rd and final season.

Michelle misses Vancouver
Michelle was on the sofa of GMTV's Entertainment
Today this morning promoting the theatrical release
of Cashback, a movie she completed some
time ago. Michelle was her usual happy, bubbly
self, and chatted about Cashback, her work
on Mr Eleven, and the fact she is filming
a cameo next week for the BBC darma Merlin.
She also confessed to whilst filming in the the
rain the other day on set that she really misses
doing all the stunts from Bionic Woman, and that
she thought she should be on set in Vancouver,
on a harness instead of in the miserable British
weather [we said 'miserable', Michelle didn't]!

Mae Whitman gets new Pilot
Mae Whitman, who played the original 'Becca
Sommers in the unaired BW Pilot, has signed
on to Rob Thomas' ABC pilot Good Behavior
according to Zap2it.com. Mae Whitman and Patrick
Adams will play two offspring of a criminal family
that's trying to go straight. Good Behavior
is an adaptation of a New Zealand series called
Outrageous Fortune. It is centered around
a mother of a family of criminals, who decides
to take the family down the straight and narrow
path after her husband is jailed. Mae plays the
family's teenage daughter, who's extorting her
principal and running a hall-pass scam at her
school. We wish her well.
Jae fights the future!
We have had the good fortune to see Will
Yun Lee's short film The Seed and it is
awesome. Will Yun is fantastic and really shows
off his martials arts background. If you can catch
the movie at a festival, on the big screen, we
would recomend it, however you can also view the
full movie [it's only last 10 minutes, so don't
worry] on YouTube here...
The YouTube page also features videos of the
making of the movie, plus the trailer.

Lindsay signs... the fans
go wild!
Well, LindsayWagner, the original 70's
Bionic Woman, turned up as promised at the Autographica
event this weekend and we went down today [Sunday]
to meet her ourselves. She was great, very gracious,
happy to sign fan-items and pose for photo's,
a perfect guest. Time was limited, due to people
waiting, but it was good to see she was definitely
the most popular guest in the hall with a constant
stream of people waiting to see her... she even
out-did Hollywood legend Tony Curtis! Thanx for
coming to see your UK fans Lindsay, we really
appreciate it!

"BW ruined my love
life..."
Several sites today, including ContactMusic.com,
carry news of how Michelle blames working on Bionic
Woman for the lack of a love life and that
her newly honed phsyique puts off any potenial
boyfriends [really?]. She is convinced that men
find highly athletic women less attractive, claiming
her muscled new body is the reason why she is
still single. She says, "I knew playing a
woman with bionic strength was going to screw
me over with men because they were going to be
scared. "I had this amazing new body and
was super-fit and feeling great, but I couldn't
get a man."
But she's still getting
married...
Despite the above new pictures surfaced
today of Michelle's secret wedding... only kidding!
The photo's are from the set of her new ITV drama,
Mr.Eleven, and have her looking gorgeous
all in white outside the church. The
Daily Mail has a full feature and pics.

New Bionic Woman
soundtrack CD
Joe Harnell composed the music for the original
Bionic Woman series over 30 years ago,
but the music defined the series and is close
to the hearts of many of it's fans. Despite Joe's
untimely death in 2005, his music is still being
re-mastered and released onto CD via his official
fan site. The latest offering is music Joe composed
for the BW/SMDM 3-parter 'Kill Oscar'. The story
crossed over onto both Bionic shows, starting
on Bionic Woman, then continuing on The Six
Million Dollar Man, before concluding on Bionic
Woman. The new CD features music never before
released from the show, including an unused version
of the title music. Listen this the new title
music here,
plus a sample of Track
14 to see what you are missing. The pressing
is limited to 1000 units and available to order
from www.joeharnell.com

BW: The lost plot threads
In the February 2008 issue of the official
SciFi channel magazine, David Eick discusses up-coming
story threads and character development for NBC's
Bionic Woman. Whilst this is now mute since the
show's cancellation, it makes intersting reading
as how they were still hopeful to steer the direction
of the show despite falling ratings. The article
says:
A new character will be
introduced at Berkut Group. "She will have
a unique relationship with jaime Sommers, and
one that is not altogether clear if it's good
for her or bad for her at first" says Eick.
"We'll see Sarah Corvus return in an unexpected,
unanticipated way." And "the audience
will be shocked to see the evolution of Jaime's
relationship with Tom, portrayed by Jordan Bridges."
We're definitely looking at arcing out the season
in such a way that it invetsigates how Jaime Sommers
being the bionic woman may not have been an accident.
It may have been part of a larger plan. And that
plan might have a great deal to do, not just with
what does it mean to be bionic, but what does
it mean to be a woman. And how being a woman,
being female specificlly, is very critcal to the
endevor of bionic surgery and implementing bionics."
Interesting stuff. The plot thread about Jaime
being made bionic not being an accident were obviously
sown from episode 2 onwards, but little of the
rest of what the above ever got on the screen.
Just how were they looking to develop Tom, who
to be honest was alittle wimpy and to-good-to-be-true.
Just how was Sarah going to return? Sadly, we'll
never know, but a glimpse behind what they had
planned for the show, had it continued will always
be interesting.

Jonathan Ross - the interview
As previously mentioned, Michelle was on the Jonathan
Ross chat show tonight on BBC1 and a fine
time she appeared to have as well. The conversation
covered Michelle's time on Eastenders,
how she won the BW role and a demonstration
of Krav Maga... well, almost! Michelle smiled
and giggled throughout the 12 minute interview,
partly maybe nerves, as you never quite know what
Jonathan is going to throw at his guests, but
she also genuinly appeared to enjoy herself. The
status of Bionic Woman appeared carefully
avoided, most likely to deflect any negative publicity
for the series premiere on UK TV next week. Here
is the full interview, apologies for the sound
it's a little off but shouldn't affect your viewing
pleasure. Watch the clip here...

is cancelled and Lucy replied, on February 21st:
"Unfortunately, yes it has been cancelled.
It's okay though! I learned a lot." Lucy
has a page on her site dedicated to BW, along
with some previously un-revealed backgound on
her character.

Vancouver BW offices
still active...
Despite Michael Ausiello's report from
a couple of days ago, saying BW is cancelled and
packed off to the land of early-cancelleations,
the globeandmail.com report that there may be
life in the Bionic Woman yet! The site
reports that Pete Mitchell with Vancouver Film
Studios, where the series was shot, says the show's
production office is still being staffed and the
sets have not been destroyed, although they have
been removed [something we heard back in December].
"It's kind of in this suspended animation,"
Mitchell said yesterday. "They haven't cancelled
it and they aren't going ahead at this point."
At its peak, Mitchell estimates that 200 to 250
people were working on the series. About 10 people
are currently staffing the office.
Superb new UK Michelle
Ryan interview
The prestigous broadsheet The Daily Telegraph
have just printed a lengthy, and well worth reading,
interview with Michelle Ryan. This is a much welcomed
change from the usual sound-bites we get of oft-repeated
press junket copy. Check it out at The
Daily Telepgraph or on-site here...

TV Guide's
Michael Ausiello says BW is gone....
Ausiello reports that despite NBCs silence,
BW is gone and has been told by "mutiple
sources" that the shows staff were told last
week. This is being reported across the web, but
again should be considered rumour untill NBC deicde
to officially comment. Meanwhile...
Michelle at the Brits
Michelle was a guest presenter at the UK
music awards, the Brits, last night, presenting
'Best Album'. She wore a little black number but
made no comment about the show,or similar. Today
several sites are carrying an interview with her
in which she says "The
thing I missed most was definitely Marks and Spencer!
In fact shopping in London generally - and my
family and friends of course." But
she does says she enjoyed living in Canada during
the filming of BW and it even reminded her of
home..."I loved it,
it was so beautiful. there were beautiful mountains
and scenery and I was staying in a really nice
area which was kind of like Camden. I had lovely
little shops and funky clubs and bars on my doorstep.
Plus it was really cool having my own place; I
felt very independent."

Strike over, any more BW?
NBC say 'no comment'
The strike which has crippled Hollywoods
TV and Film industry for the past several months
is over. As everyone starts to get back to work,
and the dust settles, anxious TV fans are looking
for announcemmenst about their fave shows. Will
they, or won;t they return, this season? NBC has
declared that Chuck, Life and Heroes
will all return in the F'll, but have stayed silent
on the fate of Bionic Woman. Variety.com
says: Notably absent from
NBC's announcement: any mention of frosh skeins
"Bionic Woman" and "Journeyman."
As previously reported, both shows have essentially
been canceled by the Peacock. There is
talk NBC won't announce anything officially until
May, when they roll-out their Fall season line-up.
I am not sure the old adage "No news, is
goods news" holds true in this instance!
February 11th 2007
BW
writer major driver in resolving WGA strike
Laeta Kalagridis, who wrote the original
remake Pilot, is being credited with being instrumental
in brokering a possible deal to end the crippling
strike. According to UK broadsheet The Times,
it says the 42-year old is responsible for banging
heads together to get a deal sorted out, however
the details of the arrangement may not be known
until a new batch of Holloywood memoirs are written:
"Her scripts might
not have been bonanzas but, running her own strike
website, she and her agent became a conduit between
the unions tough-guy negotiator David Young
and the equally hard-boiled studio pointman, Peter
Chernin, chairman of the Fox studios and television
interests."
"The union has apparently
dropped its claim to represent reality TV and
animation writers, another reason why reality
TV driven by Brits such as Simon Fullers
American Idol franchise is expected to drive out
many pricey dramas in the years ahead, and the
studios have offered a share of programmes and
films streamed through the internet."
Despite this possible end to the strike - the
unions apparently vote tomorrow [Tuesday] on the
deal - word going around is that Bionic Woman
won't be back. Ever. This, flying in the face
of NBC's claim that it will allow the show to
finish it's promised 13 episodes. With the strike
having dragged on so long, and put so many shows
behind schedule, the studios need to be strategic
about which shows to put back into production
for the current season, which to hold on hiatus
until bringing them back in the fall, and which
to cut loose.

New Bionic Woman
on DVD? ... Amazon says it might be, or does it?
tvshowondvd.com, a reliable site, is reporting
a listing on Amazon for a March release of Bionic
Woman. The listing was for a 'Volume 1' but
was unclear as to whether it was the orginal show,
with Lindsay Wagner, or the new show with Michelle
Ryan. Universal have declined to clarify which
show it is, although Amazon have now added
Lindsay's name to the pre-listing, but the release
is listed as 'Widescreen' when the original show
is actually in standard 4:3 format and only the
new show is Widescreen, further confusing matters.
The TV Show on DVD article is here

roles on both Jason Katim's Friday Night Lights
and Bionic Woman, and his hopes
the show will retunr when the writer's strike

just don't think it got a fair shake. I'd love
to see it come back." Read the full interview
